Summary

JD E-Commerce America Limited (Joybuy Express) is recalling approximately 174 Marainbow Portable Infant Safe Seats and materially similar child seats. These seats feature incorrect installation labels and a physical design that prevents them from being properly secured in a vehicle, failing to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for child restraint systems. Consumers who purchased these seats should stop using them immediately and contact the manufacturer for a full refund.

Risk

The child seat's design and incorrect labeling prevent it from being installed correctly in a vehicle, which can cause the seat to fail during a crash and significantly increases the risk of serious injury to the infant.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the Marainbow Portable Infant Safe Seat or any materially similar child seat purchased through Joybuy Express.
  2. Check your purchase records or the product itself to confirm if you own a Marainbow Portable Infant Safe Seat or a similar model sold by JD E-Commerce America Limited.
  3. Contact Joybuy Express customer service at 1-302-426-4543 or via email at overseas-service@jd.com to request a full refund for the recalled child seat.
  4. Dispose of the recalled seat in a way that ensures it cannot be used by others, such as cutting the straps or marking it as 'UNSAFE - RECALLED' before discarding.
  5. For additional questions or to report a safety concern, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
