Summary

Dongguan Biaoming technology Co., Ltd. is recalling 24 JecoEV Tesla Charger (NACS) to Combined Charging System (CCS) adapters with part number Jeco041. These adapters, sold exclusively through Amazon, were manufactured without essential over-temperature circuit protection and may fail to securely latch to the charging station. The manufacturer is offering a full refund to all affected customers.

Risk

The lack of circuit protection can cause the adapter to overheat, posing a fire risk. Additionally, if the adapter does not latch properly, it can be disconnected while power is still flowing, which creates a significant risk of electrical shock to the user.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your charger adapter to see if it is a Tesla (NACS) to CCS adapter with part number Jeco041.
  2. Verify if your unit was purchased from the seller JecoEV on Amazon.com.
  3. If you have an affected adapter, stop using it immediately to prevent potential fire or electrical shock.
  4. Contact Dongguan Biaoming technology Co., Ltd. Inc customer service at 1-364-510-9187 to arrange for a full refund of the purchase price.
