Summary

About 5,300 CFMOTO CFORCE all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are being recalled because the fuel hose can crack and leak fuel. This recall includes the 2016-2018 CFORCE 400, 2017-2018 CFORCE 500S, and 2017-2018 CFORCE 500HO models with 400cc to 500cc engines. These vehicles were sold at CFMOTO dealers nationwide in orange, blue, red, and gray for between $4,200 and $6,000. Consumers should immediately stop using these vehicles and contact a CFMOTO dealer for a free repair.

Risk

A cracked fuel hose can cause fuel to leak from the vehicle, creating an immediate fire hazard. While no incidents or injuries have been reported, a fuel leak near the engine or hot exhaust components significantly increases the risk of fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the recalled CFORCE 400, 500S, and 500HO ATVs.
  2. Check your vehicle for the 'CFMOTO' logo on the front and rear grille, and a 'CFORCE' decal on each side of the fuel tank.
  3. Locate your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) under the seat on the top of the right side, top frame rail to confirm it is a 2016-2018 CFORCE 400, 2017-2018 CFORCE 500S, or 2017-2018 CFORCE 500HO model.
  4. Contact an authorized CFMOTO dealer to schedule a free repair of the fuel hose. You can reach CFMOTO toll-free at 888-823-6686 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday.
