Summary

Triumph Motorcycles America is recalling 988 of its 2023 Bonneville T120 and Bonneville T120 Black motorcycles. The left-hand side brake disc on these motorcycles may not be properly secured, which can cause the disc to detach while riding. If this occurs, it can significantly reduce braking performance, making it much harder to stop. Authorized dealers will install a replacement damper and new disc bolts to fix the issue at no cost to the owner.

Risk

If the left-hand side brake disc detaches while the motorcycle is in motion, the rider will experience a sudden loss of braking power, which increases the likelihood of a crash and serious injury.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your motorcycle's registration and paperwork to confirm if you own a 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 or a 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black.
  2. If you own one of these models, contact an authorized Triumph dealer immediately to schedule a free repair. The dealer will replace the damper and the disc bolts to ensure the brake disc is properly secured.
  3. If you have additional questions, you can contact Triumph's customer service department at 1-678-854-2010 and reference recall number SRAN 606.
  4. For further information or to report a safety concern, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
