Summary

Navistar, Inc. is recalling 1,216 of its 2024-2025 IC Bus EVSB and 2024-2025 IC Bus CESB school buses. The brake caliper mounting bolts on these vehicles may not have been properly tightened during manufacturing, which could lead to the brake caliper detaching from its anchor plate. Navistar will inspect the bolts and tighten or replace any that are loose or missing free of charge.

Risk

If a brake caliper detaches, the bus may lose its ability to brake effectively, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.
