Summary

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling approximately 398 of its 2025 Can-Am Origin electric motorcycles. The front brake caliper support on these vehicles can suffer from fatigue failure, which may cause the front brakes to stop working. BRP will install a caliper support reinforcement kit free of charge to fix the issue.

Risk

The front brake caliper support can crack or fail over time, resulting in a total loss of front braking power. This failure significantly increases the risk of a crash, which could lead to serious injury or death.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your motorcycle's Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to see if it is included in this recall; VINs will become searchable on the NHTSA website starting April 28, 2025.
  2. Contact an authorized BRP dealer to schedule an appointment for the installation of a free caliper support reinforcement kit.
  3. If you have questions, contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222 and reference bulletin number 2026-1.
  4. Call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for more information.
