Summary

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling approximately 8,100 model year 2024 Ski-Doo MXZ and Renegade snowmobiles equipped with Pilot X skis. The left ski on these vehicles can break during use, which may lead to a loss of control and a crash. BRP has received 27 reports of the ski breaking in the United States and is aware of one injury that occurred in Canada. These snowmobiles were sold at authorized Ski-Doo dealers nationwide from June 2023 through January 2024 for between $10,000 and $18,000.

Risk

What You Should Do

  1. This recall involves all model year 2024 Ski-Doo MXZ and Renegade snowmobiles that are equipped with Pilot X skis.
  2. To identify an affected snowmobile, look for the brand 'Ski-Doo' and the model name (MXZ or Renegade) printed on the side panels of the vehicle. Additionally, check the upper side at the back of the ski for the 'Pilot X' engraving.
