Summary

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling approximately 12,500 Ski-Doo snowmobiles from model years 2021 and 2022. The fuel injector hose retainer screw can loosen over time, which may cause a fuel leak. BRP has received 14 reports of fuel leaks, four of which resulted in fires. The recalled vehicles were sold nationwide between October 2020 and September 2022 for between $10,000 and $17,000. Consumers should stop using these snowmobiles and contact a dealer for a free repair.

Risk

A loose screw in the fuel injector hose retainer can lead to a fuel leak. If fuel leaks onto hot engine components, it poses a significant fire hazard. BRP has already received 14 reports of leaks and four reports of fires caused by this defect.
