Summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling approximately 19 aerial device and digger derrick vehicles from the 2024-2025 model years. The chassis ignition circuit in these vehicles may become overloaded, leading to a blown fuse and a sudden engine shutdown. Altec will replace the hydraulic tank heater relay free of charge to resolve this safety issue.

Risk

A sudden engine shutdown while the vehicle is in motion increases the risk of a crash. The fault occurs because the ignition circuit cannot handle the electrical load, causing the fuse to fail and the engine to stall.

  2. If you own an affected vehicle, contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832 to schedule a free repair. Provide the Altec recall number CSN-3247.
