Summary

Altec Industries is recalling approximately 968 of its 2023-2024 Aerial Device, Digger Derrick, and Pressure Digger commercial vehicles. The chassis ignition circuit in these vehicles may become overloaded, which can cause a fuse to blow and lead to an unexpected engine shutdown. Altec will rewire the affected accessory circuit free of charge to resolve the issue.

Risk

If the engine shuts down unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion, it can cause a sudden loss of power and control, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.
