Summary

Nissan North America is recalling 173,301 vehicles, including certain 2013-2021 Nissan NV200 Van, 2014-2019 Nissan NV200 Taxi, and 2015-2018 Chevrolet City Express models. The Fuel Tank Temperature sensor harness in these vehicles may have been installed incorrectly, leading to damaged wires and a short circuit. If this occurs, the fuel pump fuse may blow, causing the engine to stall unexpectedly while driving. Dealers will inspect and reroute the sensor harness or replace the fuel pump assembly free of charge.

Risk

A short circuit can cause the fuel pump fuse to blow, which shuts off the fuel supply and causes the engine to stall. An engine stalling while the vehicle is in motion increases the danger of a crash.
