Summary

Jayco, Inc. is recalling 659 motorhomes including 2020-2021 Entegra Launch, Qwest, Jayco Melbourne, and Melbourne Prestige models. The HVAC blower motor circuit in these vehicles may be inadequate, which can cause the wiring harness to overheat and potentially start a fire. Dealers will relocate and replace the fuse and wiring harness at no cost to owners to resolve this safety issue.

Risk

The inadequate electrical circuit allows the wiring harness to overheat during use. This excessive heat can ignite surrounding materials or the harness itself, significantly increasing the risk of a vehicle fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is affected: This recall involves 2020-2021 Entegra Launch, Qwest, Jayco Melbourne, and Melbourne Prestige motorhomes.

  3. Avoid specific HVAC settings: Do not use the maximum blower speed or the lowest and highest temperature settings until the vehicle has been serviced.
  4. Contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 to schedule a free repair; dealers will relocate and replace the fuse and wiring harness.
  5. For additional questions or to check your VIN, contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
