Summary

BMW is recalling 16 of its 2022 745e hybrid electric vehicles because the high-voltage battery may have been manufactured with an improperly sized cell electrode. This defect was caused by an error during the laser cutting process and can lead to an electrical short-circuit within the battery system. BMW dealers will replace the affected battery cell modules in the impacted vehicles free of charge.
