Summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling 30 of its 2024 FOSV-CA vehicles because an electrical cable can get too hot. The cable that connects the main vehicle battery to the extra auxiliary batteries was installed in a way that can cause it to overheat. To fix this, dealers will move the connections to a protected fuse terminal, install thicker battery cables, and replace the electrical switch (solenoid) if needed for free.

Risk

The battery cable can overheat during use, which significantly increases the risk of a vehicle fire.
