Summary

Trumpette is recalling about 33,000 pairs of "Aubree's" and "Hearts" baby socks sold in sizes 0 to 12 months. The decorative flowers and bows attached to the toes of these socks can detach during use. There have been eight reports of these decorations falling off, which creates a serious risk for young children. These socks were sold in six-pair packs at Trumpette stores, Buy Buy Baby, Right Start, and online between December 2012 and February 2013. Consumers can either remove the decorations themselves or return the socks for a full refund.

Risk

The small flowers and bows attached to the toes of the socks can easily detach. If a baby puts these small pieces in their mouth, they can cause the child to choke or suffocate.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your baby's socks for the brand name 'TRUMPETTE' printed on the soles and verify the style: 'Aubree's' socks have decorative flowers on the toes, and 'Hearts' socks have heart patterns with decorative bows on the toes.
  2. Confirm if the socks were purchased in sizes 0 to 12 months between December 2012 and February 2013.
  3. Immediately take the recalled socks away from babies and children.
  4. Either remove the flowers or bows entirely from the socks to eliminate the choking hazard, or return the socks to Trumpette or the original place of purchase for a full refund or store credit.
  5. For more information or to arrange a refund, contact Trumpette Inc. toll-free at 877-938-7265 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit www.trumpette.com and click on the 'Recall' link.
  6. Contact the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 if you have additional safety questions.

Your Remedy Options

💰Full Refund
