Summary

Forest River, Inc. is recalling 2,519 of its 2020-2023 Coachmen Galleria, 2021-2023 Forest River Beyond, and 2021-2023 Coachmen Nova Class B motorhomes. The retractable awning on these vehicles can unintentionally extend while the motorhome is in transit. To fix this, dealers will install a support wedge in the gearbox and replace the motor if needed, completely free of charge.

Risk

If the awning extends unexpectedly while the vehicle is moving, it can distract the driver or create a sudden road hazard for other motorists, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  2. Contact a Forest River dealer to schedule a free repair; the dealer will install a wedge to support internal gearbox components and replace the awning motor if necessary.
