Thor Motor Coach: Four Winds, Quantum, Chateau, and Geneva Motorhomes Recalled for Detaching Awnings

Summary

Thor Motor Coach is recalling approximately 262 motorhomes, including 2022-2023 Four Winds, Quantum, and Chateau models, as well as 2022 Geneva models. The electric retractable awnings on these vehicles have a welded seam on the fabric that can separate unexpectedly. This defect can cause the awning to drop or extend beyond its normal operating range. Owners can have these awnings repaired or replaced by a dealer at no cost.

Risk

If the awning fabric seam separates, the awning can drop suddenly or extend further than intended. This creates an unexpected falling hazard that increases the risk of injury to people standing near or under the awning.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your vehicle's registration or purchase documents to confirm if you own a 2022-2023 Four Winds, Quantum, or Chateau motorhome, or a 2022 Geneva motorhome.
  2. If your vehicle is affected, contact a Thor Motor Coach (TMC) dealer to schedule a free repair or replacement of the awning fabric.
  3. You can contact Thor Motor Coach customer service directly at 1-877-855-2867 if you have questions about the recall process.
