Summary

Cruiser RV is recalling approximately 726 travel trailers across several 2022 and 2023 models, including the MPG, Hitch, Radiance, Stryker, Embrace, Shadow Cruiser, and Twilight. The electric retractable awnings on these vehicles have a welded seam on the fabric that may separate, which can cause the awning to drop unexpectedly. Dealers will inspect and either repair or replace the awning assembly free of charge to ensure it functions safely.

Risk

The awning fabric seam can fail and separate, causing the heavy awning to drop or extend beyond its normal operating range. This creates a risk of hitting and injuring people standing nearby or under the awning.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your travel trailer to see if it is one of the following affected models: 2022 MPG, 2022 Hitch, 2022 Radiance, 2022 Stryker, 2022-2023 Embrace, 2022-2023 Shadow Cruiser, or 2022-2023 Twilight.
  2. Contact Cruiser RV customer service at 1-574-206-7920 to verify if your specific vehicle identification number (VIN) is included in this recall.
  3. Schedule an appointment with an authorized Cruiser RV dealer for a free inspection and potential repair or replacement of the awning assembly.
