Summary

Starcraft RV is recalling approximately 1,441 travel trailers, specifically certain 2022 Autumn Ridge Outfitter, Super Lite Maxx, and Super Lite models. These vehicles are equipped with electric retractable awnings that have a defective welded seam on the fabric which may separate unexpectedly. This defect can cause the awning to drop or extend beyond its normal limits while in use or during travel. Dealers will inspect the awning and repair or replace the fabric free of charge.

Risk

The awning fabric seam can fail and separate, causing the heavy awning assembly to drop suddenly. This unexpected movement or over-extension of the awning increases the risk of injury to people standing nearby or under the awning.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your travel trailer is affected by checking your vehicle registration or purchase documents for these specific 2022 Starcraft RV models: Autumn Ridge Outfitter, Super Lite Maxx, and Super Lite.

  3. Contact Starcraft RV customer service at 1-800-283-8267 to schedule a free inspection and repair with an authorized dealer.
  4. At the service appointment, dealers will inspect the awning fabric for seam integrity and will repair or replace the fabric if necessary at no cost to you.
