Summary

Autocar, LLC is recalling 49 model year 2015-2022 ACTT (Xspotter) and ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles because the air tanks do not have enough air volume for the brake system. This defect means the vehicles fail to meet federal safety standards for air brakes and may take longer than expected to stop. Dealers will inspect the vehicles and add or replace air tanks as needed for free.

Risk

Insufficient air volume reduces the effectiveness of the brakes. This can significantly increase the distance required to stop the vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash.
