Summary

American Honda is recalling about 32,000 model year 2019-2021 Honda Talon 1000 S2 and S4 recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs). The vehicles were sold in various colors including red, blue, green, gray, and yellow. A screw in the engine's intake funnel can loosen and be sucked into the engine, causing it to fail suddenly. Honda has received 16 reports of engine failure and one report of a crash that caused minor injuries. Authorized dealers will provide a free inspection and repair for all affected vehicles.

Risk

The engine can fail suddenly if an intake funnel screw enters it, causing a loss of vehicle control. This poses a significant risk of a crash or injury to the driver and passengers.
