Alinux Baby Loungers Recalled for Entrapment and Fall Hazards

Summary

Winkids is recalling about 1,200 Alinux baby loungers sold on Amazon. The loungers violate federal safety standards because the sides are too low to keep an infant inside, and the openings at the foot are wide enough to trap a child. Additionally, the loungers lack a stand, which creates a fall hazard if they are used on elevated surfaces like tables or sofas. Winkids is offering a full refund to consumers who destroy the product and provide proof.

Risk

Infants can fall out of the lounger or become trapped in the openings at the foot, which poses a serious risk of suffocation, entrapment, and injury. These violations of the Infant Sleep Product safety standard create an unsafe sleeping environment that can lead to death or serious injury.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify your product by checking the label on the outside of the lounger cover for model number BP25001 and batch number ZZ-FBA25052305-1.
  2. Immediately stop using the recalled baby loungers.
  3. To receive a full refund, you must destroy the product by removing the foam and pads from the cloth cover and cutting the cover, foam, and pads in half.
  4. Email photos of the destroyed pieces to Winkids at alinuxrecall@163.com to obtain your refund.
  5. Call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 for additional questions.
