Summary

General Motors is recalling 5 of its 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 vehicles because the sensing diagnostic module (SDM) was not properly activated during manufacturing. This defect means the vehicles fail to meet federal occupant crash protection standards and the airbags will not deploy in the event of a crash. General Motors has already identified these 5 specific vehicles and returned them to the assembly plant for activation before they were sold to consumers.
