Summary

Porsche is recalling 53 of its 2022-2023 911 vehicles because the dashboard console may break during a crash. If the dashboard fails, it can cause the passenger-side air bag to deploy incorrectly, potentially reducing its effectiveness during an accident. Porsche dealers will replace the entire dashboard free of charge to resolve this safety defect.

Risk

If the dashboard console breaks during an impact, the passenger air bag may not inflate in the correct position or with the intended force, significantly increasing the risk of occupant injury during a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is affected by checking if it is a 2022-2023 Porsche 911.
  2. Contact any authorized Porsche dealer to schedule a free appointment to have the dashboard replaced.
  3. If you have questions, contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243 and reference recall number ANB7.
